SYNOPSIS:
In Pine Falls, no one believes in happily-ever-afters more than Lola Bennett. A lifelong reader, she owns a thriving bookstore devoted to romance. When she lands the chance to host an event with the wildly popular Kate’s Book Club, she jumps at it. Even once she learns that for the next four months, she’ll have to promote the event on social media with Tyler Cole, a romance skeptic who turns out to be the voice behind her favorite audiobooks.
Tyler wasn’t always cynical. After a devastating injury ended his professional rugby career fifteen years ago, he watched his future disappear. Now, newly sober and recovering from a painful divorce, he’s being dragged back into a world he never wanted to revisit: romance. The last thing he needs is to work alongside a woman who seems determined to find the silver lining in everything.
But as the weeks pass, their differences blur. Beneath Lola’s optimism and Tyler’s gruff exterior lie old wounds and guarded hearts. Promoting the event gives them a reason to get closer, until their reluctant partnership grows into undeniable chemistry.
The love story Lola always dreamed of—and Tyler stopped believing in—might just be within reach.
